Pilbara Solar are pleased to welcome Natalie Parker as a new director on its Board of Directors. She will represent Yamatji Marpla Aboriginal Corporation, which is a 25% owner in the company.
Natalie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. A Nyiyaparli woman from the central Pilbara region, she is well known in the community for her leadership capacity and represents her community on the board of the Gumula Aboriginal Corporation, Gumula Enterprises Pty Ltd, and Meta Maya Aboriginal Corporation. Natalie is the first female co-chairperson of Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation (YMAC), representing the Pilbara region.
Her aspirations for the future include improvements in health, education and economic opportunities for Aboriginal people. She also would like to see the recognition of culture and a strong future for all.
Natalie replaces CEO Simon Hawkins as YMAC representative on the Pilbara Solar Board as he steps into the role of Secretary.
The board would like to thank Simon for his contribution as Director.
