Pilbara Solar is honoured to welcome Mr Peter Windie to its Board of Directors. Mr Windie is Director and Co-Chairperson – Yamatji Region of Yamatji Marlpa Aborginal Corporation (YMAC), which in 2020 became a 50 percent owner in our company.
Mr Windie brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is a Thudgari man who played a leadership role in his peoples’ Native Title Determination in 2009, and is a well-respected leader in the Gascoyne Junction region of Western Australia.
In 2018, Mr Windie became a Director of the National Native Title Council (NNTC). Mr Windie is passionate about Country and the depth that Aboriginal people are spiritually connected to the land. It is this interest that led him to his current role with PS, to support a self-determined and sustainable future for Aboriginal people.
