
The Junja Solar Farm (10 MW) is a solar PV generation project near Port Hedland that will supply about 30 GWh of clean energy each year to the Pilbara Network via Horizon Power’s Goldsworthy 66 kV line.
Developed in partnership with the Jinparinya Aboriginal Corporation (JAC) on their leasehold land, the project provides equity co-ownership, long-term lease income, and employment and contracting opportunities for local communities, with benefits also flowing to the Wanparta Aboriginal Corporation (WAC), the Traditional Owners. It will be the first independent power producer connected to the Pilbara Network and a leading First Nations co-ownership model for renewable energy in the region.
Status: DA approved; land tenure secured; Offer to Connect secured; PPA discussions underway with Horizon Power; $3 million CEFF grant secured, actively engaging with investors for commitment.
